Once the Admissions Committee receives and reviews all of the parent application documents above, then an Admissions Interview is scheduled.

Typically the Admissions Interview begins at 9 AM and concludes at 3 PM. First, the student and family will have a tour of the campus and then student will “shadow” in the program during the academic day. Also throughout the day, both the student and family will have an opportunity to meet with Leelanau faculty and staff. Finally, the Head of School will speak with the student and family to discuss educational options moving forward.

The Leelanau School views the admissions process as a collaborative venture in which we work closely with domestic and international parents and students to determine if we are the best educational option. While prospective families learn about Leelanau, we learn about prospective students and their individual academic and social needs and goals. Our mutual purpose is to discover if Leelanau is the “right fit” for the student.

We invite families to get a feel for Leelanau by visiting our Facebook page. We encourage families to inquire early in the school year before the year of desired admission to secure their child’s placement. Although we have a rolling admissions policy, enrollment may be limited by availability in specific grades.
